The much-awaited Royal Enfield Classic 350 2024 model is set to hit Indian roads on August 12. While this is a model year update, enthusiasts can expect subtle refinements rather than a complete overhaul. Let’s dive into what we know so far about the upcoming motorcycle.
Design Remains Iconic
The 2024 Classic 350 will continue to boast its timeless retro charm. The signature teardrop tank, round headlamp, and classic fenders are expected to remain intact. However, Royal Enfield might introduce fresh color options to add a contemporary touch to the iconic silhouette.
Feature Upgrades on the Horizon
To keep up with the times, the new Classic 350 is likely to feature LED lighting all around, enhancing visibility and aesthetics. Additionally, adjustable brake and clutch levers, inspired by the Super Meteor 650, could make their way to higher-end variants.
Same Heart, Different Beat (Maybe)
Under the skin, the beloved 349cc, air/oil-cooled engine is expected to carry over, delivering a familiar 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. While the current engine is refined, Royal Enfield is concurrently developing ‘Project J2’, which could bring substantial upgrades to future 350 models.
Chassis and Suspension Stay Put
The 2024 Classic 350 is likely to retain the same chassis, suspension setup, and braking components as its predecessor. This means telescopic front forks, dual rear springs, and familiar braking hardware. Alloy wheels will continue to be an option on select variants.
Price Hike on the Cards
Given the inclusion of new features, a slight increase in the price tag is anticipated. The current Classic 350 is available in the Indian market at a price range of Rs. 1.95 lakh to Rs. 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
While the 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 promises to be an evolutionary step, rather than a revolutionary one, the iconic motorcycle’s loyal fanbase eagerly awaits its arrival. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches.
