Royal Enfield has recently unveiled its latest offering, the Scram 440, at the Motoverse 2024 event. This updated version of the popular Scram 411 comes with a host of improvements, including a larger engine, enhanced features, and a fresh coat of paint.
A Bigger Heart:
The most significant change in the Scram 440 is the upsized 443cc engine. This single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled motor now produces 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm of torque, delivering a slightly smoother and more powerful ride. The addition of a sixth gear to the gearbox further improves cruising capabilities.
Modern Features:
The Scram 440 boasts several modern features. It now comes equipped with an LED headlight, offering better visibility, and a switchable dual-channel ABS system for enhanced safety. The bike also features a lighter clutch action, making it easier to ride in traffic. Additionally, it has provisions for mounting a top box, perfect for those who enjoy long-distance touring.
Two Variants, Multiple Choices:
The Scram 440 is available in two distinct variants: Trail and Force. The Trail variant is designed for off-road enthusiasts, featuring 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with tube-type tires. The Force variant, on the other hand, is geared towards urban riders, offering alloy wheels with tubeless tires for a smoother ride on city streets.
A Fresh Coat of Paint:
While the overall design of the Scram 440 remains largely unchanged, Royal Enfield has introduced a new color palette to keep things fresh. The bike is now available in five vibrant colors: Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green, and Trail Blue.
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 is expected to hit dealerships in December 2024, with bookings commencing around the same time. The official launch is scheduled for January 2025.
