Kawasaki Vulcan Series

Kawasaki

The 2024 lineup includes the Vulcan S, 900, and 1700 models.

While Kawasaki is renowned for its high-performance motorcycles, it's important to recognize that the company also boasts a remarkable lineup of cruisers. The Vulcan range, known for its unique styling and retro-inspired charm, has stood the test of time. For 2024, this series has received a subtle refresh. Let's explore what's in store.

A Glimpse at the Vulcan S

We kick things off with the smallest member of the Vulcan family, the Vulcan S. Sharing underpinnings with Kawasaki's 650 series, this model features the potent 649cc parallel-twin engine, delivering a respectable 61 horsepower and 46.5 pound-feet of torque. While Kawasaki refers to it as having a "superbike-derived" chassis and suspension, it's essentially built on a steel-trellis frame with telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Priced at just $7,349, it's an enticing option. Additionally, ABS and Cafe variants are available for $7,899 and $8,499, respectively.

Introducing the Vulcan 900

The Vulcan 900, in contrast, takes on a more American V-twin cruiser appearance. The 2024 model retains its 903cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected V-twin engine, emphasizing V-twin character and increased power. It comes in three versions:

  • The Classic, featuring floorboards and a minimalist cruiser aesthetic, is priced at $9,399.
  • The Classic LT, with a more comfortable saddle and leather saddlebags, carries a price tag of $10,399.
  • The Custom, boasting wide drag bars and vibrant paintwork, is available for $9,899.

The Vulcan 1700 Series: True Cruiser Excellence

For those seeking an authentic cruiser experience, the Vulcan 1700 series is a prime choice. It includes the Vaquero and Voyager models, both propelled by a robust 1,700cc fuel-injected V-twin engine. These cruisers are equipped with electronic cruise control and K-ACT II linked brakes with ABS for enhanced safety.

The Vaquero stands out with distinctive bodywork and a sleek blacked-out engine. It features an audio system with SiriusXM compatibility and sealed saddlebags for touring comfort. Priced at $19,099, it offers a compelling package for cruiser enthusiasts.
