QJ Motor to Unveil ZX-4R Rival at EICMA

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, QJ Motor, is set to unveil a new, compact four-cylinder sportbike at this year’s EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. The upcoming SRK 421RR is poised to directly rival the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R in the competitive international market.

Limited details have emerged so far, but leaked images and information have generated significant interest. The standout feature of the SRK 421RR is undoubtedly its 421cc, inline-four engine, capable of revving up to an impressive 14,000 RPM and delivering 76.5 horsepower. This narrowly surpasses the power output of its Japanese counterpart. Furthermore, with a kerb weight of 176kg, the Chinese bike is a substantial 13kg lighter than the ZX-4R, resulting in a superior power-to-weight ratio.

However, the SRK 421RR may offer a more basic hardware package compared to its Japanese rival. While it features a double-beam frame, aluminum swingarm, and inverted front forks, the adjustability of the suspension remains unconfirmed. The braking system includes dual front discs and a single rear disc, paired with Bosch dual-channel ABS.

Complete technical specifications, pricing, and availability for the QJ SRK 421RR will be unveiled at the EICMA show. Given QJ Motor’s limited activity in the Indian market since its entry in late 2022, it is unlikely that the SRK 421RR will be available in India anytime soon.
