The highly anticipated 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R is inching closer to its Indian debut, with unofficial bookings already underway at select dealerships. While KTM India has yet to confirm an official launch date, this early move indicates strong interest in the adventure bike.
The 390 Adventure R made its global debut at EICMA 2024, and we’ve had the opportunity to examine its key features up close. Powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, the bike shares its powerplant with the third-generation KTM 390 Duke but with a unique tune.
Key upgrades include the addition of cruise control, a first for a sub-400cc KTM, and a completely redesigned bodywork. The bike also boasts improved suspension with increased travel and a new subframe, contributing to its larger, more purposeful stance.
However, these enhancements come at a price. The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R is expected to be priced significantly higher than its predecessor, with a premium of around ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 over the current-gen 390 Adventure’s price range of ₹3.41 lakh to ₹3.61 lakh. This positioning places the 390 Adventure R in direct competition with the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, setting the stage for an exciting showdown in the adventure motorcycle segment.
