Honda Teases Neo-Retro Roadster: A Stylish New Arrival

Honda Teases Neo-Retro Roadster

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has filed a design patent for an upcoming neo-retro roadster, hinting at a stylish new addition to its lineup. Drawing inspiration from the iconic CB300R, this new model is expected to share its underpinnings with the popular Honda Hornet 2.0.

The patent images reveal a captivating blend of classic and modern design elements. A round headlight, a single-piece handlebar, and a muscular fuel tank reminiscent of the CB300R lend a retro charm to the motorcycle. Meanwhile, sleek bodywork and a short, stubby exhaust contribute to its contemporary appeal.

Powered by Performance:

Underneath the stylish exterior, this new roadster is likely to be powered by the same 184.4cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that propels the Hornet 2.0. While sharing the same engine, Honda may optimize the engine tuning to suit the roadster’s character.

A Blend of Classic and Modern:

The instrument cluster is expected to feature a combination of analog and digital displays, providing essential information such as speed, odometer, fuel level, and trip meter. Additionally, smartphone connectivity and navigation features may be offered as optional extras.

Built for the Road:

The motorcycle is likely to feature an inverted front fork and a monoshock rear suspension for a comfortable and confident ride. Braking duties are expected to be handled by disc brakes at both ends, similar to the Hornet 2.0.

Expected Price and Launch:

Positioned to compete with rivals like the TVS Ronin and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, the new Honda roadster is expected to be priced competitively, likely between Rs. 1.4 lakh and Rs. 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom). While the official launch date remains uncertain, Honda’s patent filing suggests that this exciting new model is closer to reality than ever before.
