Honda has opened bookings for its updated CBR650R and CB650R motorcycles in India. Priced at Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, these bikes offer compelling options in their segment. Dealerships are accepting bookings with amounts ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000.
The 2025 CBR650R sports a sharper, more aggressive look thanks to a redesigned front fairing, a sleeker tail section, and new twin LED headlights. Updated color schemes further enhance its visual appeal. The CB650R, a neo-retro roadster, shares its design with the CBR650R from the fuel tank back, also featuring an updated paint scheme to complement its styling.

Both motorcycles utilize the same 649cc inline four-cylinder engine, now tuned to produce 94PS at 12,000rpm and 67Nm at 9500rpm. This engine is renowned for its smooth and reliable performance, and the updated versions are expected to maintain this characteristic linear power delivery.
The CBR650R and CB650R share a steel frame, Showa upside-down forks, and a rear monoshock with preload adjustability. Braking is handled by 310mm dual front discs and a 240mm rear disc.

A key upgrade for both models is the new 5-inch TFT display, which offers smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts.
The CBR650R enters a competitive market, going up against the Triumph Daytona 660 and Suzuki GSX-8R. The CB650R faces rivals like the Triumph Trident 660.
