Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 version of the Xtreme 160R 2V in India, making it more affordable than its predecessor. The new model is priced at Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom), which is approximately Rs 10,000 lower than the previous version.
Key Updates
- Drag Race Timer: The 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V comes with a Drag Race Timer integrated into the fully digital instrument cluster. This feature offers two modes: D1 for 0-60 kmph acceleration timing and D2 for quarter-mile (402m) timing.
- Redesigned Tail Light: The bike features a new, sleeker tail light design that not only modernizes its rear profile but also carries the brand’s distinctive “H” logo.
- Improved Comfort: The new model has a flatter seat profile, which enhances comfort for both the rider and the pillion. The pillion seat height has been lowered, and the rear grip has been widened.
- Single Color Option: The 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V is available in a single color scheme called Stealth Black, which features an all-black body with striking red accents.
Engine and Hardware
The 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V is powered by the same 163.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 15 hp and 14 Nm of torque. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike’s braking system consists of a single front disc brake and a rear drum brake. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.
Price and Competition
With its new pricing, the Xtreme 160R 2V is positioned as a more affordable option in its segment. It competes with other 160cc motorcycles like the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160, and Yamaha FZ-X.
