Hero MotoCorp has made its foray into the maxi-scooter segment with the launch of the Xoom 160 at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Priced at Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom), the Xoom 160 aims to capture a significant share of the growing maxi-scooter market in India.
The Xoom 160 showcases a bold and muscular design with a tall stance and a prominent central spine, characteristic of the maxi-scooter genre. Drawing inspiration from adventure touring motorcycles, the Xoom 160 boasts a rugged and adventurous appearance. The front profile features a sharp design with a split LED headlight unit accentuated by a transparent visor.
Powering the Xoom 160 is a 156cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers 14 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a CVT transmission and housed within an underbone frame. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. Braking performance is ensured by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, mounted on 14-inch wheels.
The Xoom 160 is equipped with modern features such as LED illumination, a convenient dial for ignition, keyless operation, and an informative LCD instrument cluster.
The Xoom 160 is poised to compete directly with the Yamaha Aerox 155, offering a compelling alternative for riders seeking a stylish and powerful maxi-scooter.
