Ducati India has opened pre-orders for its upcoming adventure motorcycle, the Desert X Discovery. Following several online teasers, the official launch appears imminent. This new variant builds upon the existing Desert X platform, adding several touring-focused enhancements.
Visually, the Desert X Discovery mirrors the standard model but sports a distinctive black and red livery. Practicality is boosted with the inclusion of hard-case panniers for luggage, engine casing protectors, and a robust belly guard for added off-road protection.
The Desert X Discovery shares its powertrain with the standard Desert X, utilizing a 937cc, L-twin engine producing 108hp at 9,250rpm and 92Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. Ducati has equipped the bike with a comprehensive suite of electronic rider aids, including various riding and power modes, wheelie control, engine brake control, cruise control, heated grips, and a TFT instrument panel with smartphone connectivity.
