Bajaj Freedom 125

The Indian two-wheeler market is witnessing a green revolution, spearheaded by the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG. This groundbreaking motorcycle, the world’s first to run on compressed natural gas, has captured the nation’s imagination with its promise of substantial cost savings and reduced emissions.

Initially launched in Maharashtra and Gujarat, the overwhelming response to the Freedom 125, with over 30,000 inquiries in just a week, prompted Bajaj Auto to accelerate its rollout plans. In a patriotic gesture, the company has decided to make the motorcycle available in 77 towns across India to coincide with the country’s 77th Independence Day.

“The launch of Freedom 125 has ignited an unprecedented interest across India,” said Sarang Kanade, President Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto Ltd. “We’re committed to making Freedom 125 accessible to as many Indians as possible.”

Fuel Efficiency and Cost Savings

A key selling point of the Freedom 125 is its potential to slash fuel costs by up to 50% compared to traditional petrol motorcycles. Equipped with a 2-liter petrol tank and a 2 kg CNG tank, the bike boasts a combined range of approximately 330 km. This combination ensures riders enjoy the best of both worlds: the convenience of petrol for long journeys and the cost-effectiveness of CNG for daily commutes.

Safety and Features

Bajaj has prioritized safety in the development of the Freedom 125, subjecting it to rigorous testing. The motorcycle comes packed with features that enhance both safety and comfort. Highlights include mono-linked suspensions, a plush long-quilted seat, modern LED headlamps, a digital speedometer, and convenient Bluetooth connectivity.

Pricing and Availability

The Bajaj Freedom 125 is priced competitively, with a starting price of ₹95,000 (ex-showroom). The top-end variant is available for ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). As of now, the motorcycle is available in 77 towns across India, with plans for further expansion in the future.

The Bajaj Freedom 125 is more than just a motorcycle; it’s a symbol of India’s commitment to sustainable transportation. With its impressive fuel efficiency, cost savings, and environmentally friendly credentials, the Freedom 125 is poised to redefine the two-wheeler landscape in the country.
