Aprilia has officially launched its new Tuono 457 motorcycle in India, with prices starting at Rs 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Following its initial unveiling at EICMA in November 2024, the Tuono 457 is now available for pre-booking, with deliveries expected to begin in the first week of March.
This new model expands Aprilia’s 457 platform lineup and sports a distinct design, differentiating it from other “Tuono” models. While sharing showroom space with the larger Tuono 660, the 457 adopts a less aggressive stance than its RS457 sibling. Notable design changes include a unique triple headlight cluster, a redesigned fuel tank, and an underbelly exhaust system. The bike will be available in two color options: red with black, and white with silver.
Built on the same aluminum frame as the RS457, the Tuono 457 offers a more comfortable, upright riding position. It features preload-adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by single discs on both the front and rear, fitted to 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Tuono 457 boasts a feature-rich package, including a TFT instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity, enabling access to various functions. Rider aids include riding modes, traction control, and ABS.
Powering the Tuono 457 is the same 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine found in the RS457. This engine delivers 46.6 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque, which Aprilia claims is a class-leading power-to-weight ratio. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, with an optional bi-directional quick-shifter available.
