Triumph Motorcycles has launched its 2025 Speed Twin 1200 lineup in India, with two distinct models: the Speed Twin 1200 and the Speed Twin 1200 RS. The standard Speed Twin 1200 is priced at Rs 12.75 lakh, while the higher-spec RS variant costs Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Both bikes share a refined 1,200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. Upgrades include a new camshaft, a sportier tune, and a higher 8,000 rpm redline. This results in a peak power output of 103.5bhp at 7,750rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4,250rpm.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch on both models. A key difference is the inclusion of a bidirectional quickshifter on the RS, a first for a Triumph neo-retro motorcycle.

Technological improvements across the lineup include a new single TFT display, replacing the previous digi-analogue setup. This display, previously seen on the Trident 660 and Speed Twin 900, offers a more modern interface. The switchgear and standard USB-C charging port remain.

The two variants differ significantly in their equipment and riding experience. The standard Speed Twin 1200 offers a more relaxed riding position, while the RS is geared towards a sportier feel with lower handlebars and rear-set footpegs.

The RS boasts higher-spec components, including fully adjustable Marzocchi forks, Öhlins rear shocks, and Brembo Stylema calipers with dual 320mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc. It also features Metzeler Racetec RR tires. The standard Speed Twin 1200 uses non-adjustable 43mm forks, Marzocchi rear shocks with preload adjustment, and Nissin brakes with dual 320mm front discs and a single rear disc, along with Metzeler M9RR tires.

Color options for the standard Speed Twin 1200 include white, red, and silver, while the RS is available in black and orange. Triumph also offers a range of optional extras, such as clip-on bars and a solo seat, for customization. The 2025 Speed Twin 1200 lineup offers a compelling blend of classic aesthetics, modern technology, and performance, catering to riders seeking a premium neo-retro roadster.
