Triumph has unveiled the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS for international markets, featuring several key updates to its already impressive platform.

The heart of the Speed Triple, its 1160cc inline-triple engine, has been refined to produce an additional 3bhp, boosting peak power to 180.5bhp. Peak torque has also seen an increase, now reaching 128Nm. These enhancements solidify the Speed Triple’s position as the most powerful street naked motorcycle in Triumph’s lineup. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Triumph has also focused on improving refinement by reducing internal engine vibrations and incorporating a new exhaust system.

While the chassis remains unchanged, a significant upgrade comes in the form of new Öhlins SmartEC 3 electronically adjustable suspension. This includes 43mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The suspension system utilizes OBTI (Objective Based Tuning Interface) to continuously adapt to road conditions, providing a smoother and more controlled ride.

The Speed Triple 1200 RS continues to offer a comprehensive suite of electronic rider aids, including Front Wheel Lift Control, Engine Brake Control, Traction Control, and Slide Control. All these functions are managed through the bike’s TFT screen.

Triumph has also made subtle ergonomic adjustments, raising the handlebar slightly to improve rider accessibility, particularly for shorter riders.

Visually, the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS retains its signature styling, including the distinctive bug-eyed headlight, muscular fuel tank, and slim tail section with an integrated LED taillight. For the 2025 model year, it will be available in three color options: Granite with Red graphics, Granite with Yellow graphics, and Black.

It’s anticipated that Triumph will launch the updated Speed Triple 1200 RS in India within the coming months. Upon its arrival, it will compete against rivals such as the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the Aprilia Tuono V4.
