KTM’s rapid-fire model launches continue with the unveiling of the 2025 890 Adventure R. Fresh off the heels of the latest 790 Adventure, KTM has now turned its attention to the 890 Adventure R, giving it a significant makeover inspired by the brand’s rally racing heritage.
The 2025 890 Adventure R sports a more aggressive and off-road-focused design, drawing inspiration from the KTM 450 Rally. Key design elements include a low windshield, a high front fender, enhanced body protection, and rally-style bodywork. The bike’s graphics further emphasize its off-road pedigree, mimicking the look of the rally racing version. A single-piece seat completes the rugged aesthetic.
To enhance rider interaction and connectivity, the 2025 model features a new TFT display. The screen enables riders to access various features, including turn-by-turn navigation, music playback, and incoming calls through the KTMConnect app and Bluetooth connectivity.
The 890 Adventure R’s off-road capabilities are underpinned by a robust suspension setup. It employs a 48 mm WP XPLOR fork and a WP XPLOR PDS rear shock, the same components found on KTM’s rally race bikes. To optimize braking performance, the bike is equipped with off-road ABS, which works in conjunction with the Offroad and Rally ride modes.
Powering the 2025 890 Adventure R is an 889 cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 102 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque. Riders can tailor the bike’s performance to different riding conditions with four selectable ride modes: Rain, Street, Offroad, and Rally.
