KTM recently unveiled its next-generation 390 Adventure lineup at the 2024 EICMA show in Milan, including the Adventure R, Enduro R, and SMC R. These models borrow heavily from KTM’s larger adventure bikes in terms of design, while also featuring updated mechanical components. The new range was also displayed at the India Bike Week (IBW) in December.
KTM has now officially launched the 390 Adventure in India, offering two versions: one for touring and light off-roading, and another geared toward more rugged terrain. The company has also confirmed that the Enduro R will soon be available in dealerships, followed by the Supermoto R by mid-year, which is expected to create a new segment in the Indian motorcycle market.

The 2025 KTM Enduro R shares its suspension, engine, and braking components with the Adventure R and Supermoto R, but with tuning specific to off-road riding. The Supermoto R, while visually similar to the Enduro R, distinguishes itself with unique wheels and tires.

Built on the same trellis frame as the other 390 models, the Supermoto R takes design cues from the larger 690 SMC R. It’s expected to be more agile than other 390s, as is typical of supermotos. Weighing 11 kg less than the 390 Duke, it features a single-piece seat, a slim profile, and a 9-liter fuel tank. Suspension consists of fully adjustable WP upside-down forks with 230mm of travel at the front, and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The Supermoto R rides on 17-inch wheels front and rear, fitted with Michelin Power 6 tires.

The bike’s features include a 4.2-inch color TFT instrument console, three riding modes, switchgear borrowed from the 390 Duke, and more. According to official specifications, the KTM 390 SMC R has a ground clearance of 270mm, a seat height of 860mm, and a wheelbase of 1453mm.
