KTM has expanded its adventure touring lineup in India with the launch of the 250 Adventure. Priced at Rs 2,59,850 (ex-showroom), this new model shares its design language, components, and fundamental architecture with the recently unveiled 390 Adventure. Here’s a closer look at what the 250 Adventure offers:
Powering the 250 Adventure is the same 249cc, liquid-cooled engine found in its naked counterpart. This engine delivers 30.5 horsepower and 25 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Performance is enhanced by electronic aids including ride-by-wire, a bidirectional quick shifter, and a slipper clutch.
The 250 Adventure features updated suspension components. Up front, it utilizes non-adjustable WP APEX 43mm big-piston USD forks with 200mm of travel. At the rear, a WP APEX Emulsion shock absorber offers 205mm of travel and 10-step preload adjustability (tool required). The bike boasts a ground clearance of 227mm and a seat height of 825mm.

KTM positions the 250 Adventure as a road-focused machine capable of handling occasional off-road excursions. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast wheels fitted with tubeless tires. Braking is handled by larger Bybre brakes with dual-channel ABS, including a selectable off-road ABS mode. The bike also features a new 5-inch TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation and rally-inspired LED lighting. Fuel capacity is 14.5 liters.

This launch coincides with KTM’s introduction of the updated 390 Adventure and the more budget-oriented 390 Adventure X in the Indian market.
