Kawasaki has officially launched the 2025 Z650RS in the Indian market, further expanding its presence in the middleweight motorcycle segment. Priced at Rs 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Z650RS joins the Ninja 650 and Versys 650 in the brand’s 650cc lineup.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic Z650-B1 model from the 1970s, the Z650RS boasts a distinct neo-retro design. Key styling elements include a circular LED headlamp, a twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster, a retro-styled fuel tank, and striking golden alloy wheels. The launch model will be available in an Ebony paint scheme with gold accents to complement the wheels.
The motorcycle is built on a robust tubular frame and powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. This engine delivers a healthy 67 bhp and 64 Nm of torque, mated to a smooth-shifting six-speed gearbox.
Equipped with 41mm telescopic front forks and a mono-shock rear suspension, the Z650RS offers a balanced ride. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm discs at the front and a single 220mm disc at the rear, ensuring confident stopping power.
The introduction of the Z650RS strengthens Kawasaki’s position in the Indian market, offering motorcycle enthusiasts a stylish and capable option in the growing middleweight segment.
