Kawasaki India has launched the 2025 model year of the Ninja 500 at a price of Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks a slight price increase of Rs 5,000 over the outgoing model. The 2025 update brings a new color option to the popular middleweight sportsbike.
The Ninja 500 continues to be powered by a 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 44.7 bhp and 42.6 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Design & Styling
The Ninja 500 retains its aggressive supersport styling, drawing inspiration from the Ninja 400. Key design elements include twin LED headlights, sculpted fairings, and an upswept tail section. The introduction of a new Kawasaki Green color option enhances the bike’s visual appeal, adding a touch of vibrancy compared to the predominantly black color scheme of the previous model.

Features & Technology
While the Ninja 500 offers a capable engine and aggressive styling, its feature set is relatively basic compared to some of its rivals. The bike comes with a negative LCD instrument cluster that offers Bluetooth connectivity, enabling features such as mobile phone notifications and riding log display. Other features include dual-channel ABS and an assist and slipper clutch.

Competition
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 competes directly with the Aprilia RS 457 and the Yamaha YZF-R3 in the Indian market.
