Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) has introduced an updated version of its popular Dio scooter, marking a slight price increase of approximately Rs. 1500 over the previous model. The new Dio is available in two variants: STD and DLX, priced at Rs. 74,930 and Rs. 85,648 (ex-showroom) respectively.
Bookings for the 2025 Dio commenced yesterday at all authorized Honda dealerships across India. Deliveries are expected to begin later this month. While largely retaining its visual and mechanical underpinnings, the updated Dio incorporates several noteworthy enhancements.
Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, HMSI, stated, “At Honda, our focus is on providing mobility solutions that enrich the lives of our customers. The 2025 Dio exemplifies this commitment, seamlessly blending innovation, style, and cutting-edge technology. Its OBD2B-compliant engine not only adheres to the latest emission standards but also guarantees exceptional performance and fuel efficiency.”

Key Updates in the 2025 Honda Dio:
The 2025 Dio continues to be powered by the same 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, now compliant with OBD2B emission norms. This engine maintains its power output of 7.8 bhp and 9.03 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a CVT gearbox. The inclusion of an idle start/stop system further enhances fuel efficiency, although specific figures are yet to be disclosed by Honda.
Notable feature upgrades in the 2025 Dio include:
- A new 4.2-inch TFT digital display: This provides essential information such as mileage indicators, trip meters, an Eco indicator, and distance-to-empty.
- A USB Type-C charging port: For convenient device charging on the go.
- Halogen headlamps and taillamps: Ensuring improved visibility.
- Alloy wheels (available on the DLX trim).

The overall design of the Dio remains unchanged. It is offered in a range of five attractive colors: Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Igneous Black + Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Mat Marvel Blue, and Mat Axis Gray Metallic.
