Yamaha has unveiled the 2025 MT-03 for international markets, a subtle update to its popular street naked motorcycle. While the mechanical underpinnings remain unchanged, Yamaha has focused on refining the aesthetics and adding modern features.
The most notable visual change is the redesigned tail section, which now sports a more compact and contemporary look. The introduction of the striking Ice Storm color scheme further enhances the bike’s visual appeal, setting it apart from previous color options.
Functionally, the 2025 MT-03 benefits from a new LCD negative display with Bluetooth connectivity. This advanced instrument cluster enables riders to access turn-by-turn navigation and receive notifications for incoming calls and messages. Additionally, the bike’s six-speed gearbox is now equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, providing smoother gear shifts and improved rear-wheel stability during aggressive downshifts.
Powering the 2025 MT-03 is a 321cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers 42 horsepower and 29.6 Nm of torque. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels suspended by inverted front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. Braking duties are handled by single disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. With a lightweight 167kg kerb weight and a low 780mm seat height, the MT-03 offers easy accessibility and nimble handling. The 14-liter fuel tank ensures ample range for extended rides.
Yamaha is expected to introduce the 2025 MT-03 in India sometime next year. While the exact pricing is yet to be announced, it’s likely to command a slightly higher premium over the current model, which is priced at Rs. 4.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
