Porsche Unveils 2025 Taycan 4 and Updated GTS

Porsche has introduced two fresh models in its Taycan lineup for 2025, expanding the range to a remarkable 13 variants. Leading the updates is the Taycan 4, now positioned as the entry-level model with an all-wheel-drive setup. The Taycan GTS, meanwhile, offers enhanced performance and is available in both sedan and the “Sports Turismo” shooting-brake body style.

2025 Taycan 4: Entry-Level with Dual-Motor AWD

The Taycan 4, priced at $103,300, now offers a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system as standard. Previously limited to the Cross Turismo range, this configuration is now available for the sedan version as well. The Taycan 4’s power output varies based on the battery choice, with a maximum of 402 hp using overboost or up to 429 hp with launch control. Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, Matrix Design LED headlights, Porsche Traction Management, and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management. Performance-wise, the Taycan 4 achieves 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds, just a slight edge over the rear-wheel-drive version.

The Enhanced Taycan GTS: More Power and Speed

For those seeking more power, the Taycan GTS offers an impressive 690 hp, a notable 100 hp increase from its predecessor. This model, priced at $147,900, can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, with the quarter-mile time improved to 11.1 seconds. Equipped with Sport Chrono, the GTS includes a “push-to-pass” feature that activates an extra 93 hp for a 10-second burst. The GTS also introduces Porsche’s Electric Sport Sound profile, which delivers a unique sound borrowed from the Taycan Turbo S. Enhancements include Sport Design front and rear aprons, 20-inch Taycan Turbo S wheels, and a refined interior with 18-way Adaptive Sports Seats Plus, heated steering, and a Race-Tex and leather combination.

Pricing and Availability

Porsche has opened orders for these new Taycan models, with deliveries expected by late Q1 2025. The Taycan 4 starts at $103,300, while the Taycan GTS sedan is priced at $147,900, and the GTS Sport Turismo at $149,800. Prices exclude taxes, registration fees, dealer charges, and an additional $1,995 handling fee.
